Born and raised on the Mvskoke Reservation of Oklahoma. Mostly in the Okmulgee and Creek counties. I am of the Yuchi Tribe and am fortunate to have been raised in my traditional ceremonies and the Yuchi Chapter of NAC. I love my ways of life and try to apply those to my career.
sasAfanE, is my Yuchi name given to me by the Creator themself! It means "She leads" or a female pronoun of a leader. I do not get to hear my Yuchi name a lot, so that is why I try to incorporate it into my business. I feel there is power in hearing and saying your name. I was always taught to make things happen, you need to speak them out loud.
Being in the creative field has always been a given to me. I've been drawing since I could walk! Over the years, I have been exposed to so many other art forms. Some of these platforms, I never thought I would want to be in! It's all very exciting and I can't wait to see what is in store for me. I hope to one day own my own creative space where I can build or create anything I desire. And have others to be included in that. I do not want space created for me, I want to BE THE SPACE. I want to be the one that people can come to when they have these ideas and aspirations. Then we make MAGIC.
